Diane Burton, Class of 1965née Dixon, passed away at her home in Fort Collins, Colorado on November 20th, 2023, the day after the local used bookstore went out of business and left her family puzzled as to what to do with her vast curated library.
Diane was born in 1947 and grew up in Mount Washington in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania the eldest of eight children. Her childhood was spent being scolded by the nuns at St. Mary of the Mount for offenses such as ruining her communion dress while playing in the mud. In high school, to help support her widowed mother, she worked for the Kschier Brothers trying (but failing) to convince the business to invoice their customers for violin repairs. She carried a love of music all her life, and along with so many things, this love was a gift she passed on to her children. When asked which legendary artists she saw in concert during the sixties, she answered “all of them.” Sadly, she discovered shortly before her death that she did not actually attend Woodstock as she’d always believed but took the news rather well. She did, however, continue to attend concerts regularly at many Colorado venues, including Red Rocks Amphitheater, a personal favorite.
Diane believed strongly in higher education. Although she was unable to pursue post-secondary education immediately following high school, she pursued her college education gradually as a mother and full-time secretary. She graduated Summa cum Laude from The University of Pittsburgh in 1988 with a bachelor’s degree in media communications and political science, the same year her oldest child graduated from high school. She later received her master’s degree in government from William and Mary in 1992, the same year her youngest child was born. She was fiercely determined about the things that mattered most to her. She was proud that all her children surpassed her in education. Diane loved being surrounded by learning, working in administrative positions at Carnegie Mellon University in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania and Colorado State University in Fort Collins, Colorado, and teaching government courses at community colleges (Thomas Nelson in Hampton, Virginia and Front Range in Fort Collins, Colorado). At CSU, she worked as the assistant director of the University Honors Program and other positions for nearly twenty years. Diane helped thousands of students on their educational journey. Many of those have remarked that she was most helpful with her directness and honesty. In advising students, she was always authentic, loving, and kind. It was nearly impossible to go anywhere in Fort Collins without someone approaching Diane, usually previous students, telling her how important and memorable she had been in their life. She had an exceptionally strong work ethic and stated that every job she left required at least two people to fill it after she was gone. Her family could never imagine a reason to challenge her claim. Surprising everyone who knew her, she eventually retired from CSU during the COVID pandemic.
Diane was a woman with many passions and interests. She was an avid reader throughout her life. She was also an excellent writer having spent some time early in her career writing for a local newspaper. Frequently, her family was punished by her red pen, with her editing of their work but she never failed to improve the end product. She was an avid bicyclist for decades, commuting along arduous routes in hilly Pittsburgh long before it was fashionable or easily done like on the planned paths of today. She continued to ride her bike to CSU regularly until retirement. Diane was most adventurous and loved to travel. As a young adult, she considered a career as a stewardess (now flight attendant) but was denied because she was too short. She stated regularly that she was retired, had a passport and money, and would take a trip anywhere with anyone who had a travel idea. She loved living in and exploring Colorado as well. Throughout her life she loved the woods. At every opportunity she would go hiking or camping with her family, which included a string of misbehaved golden retrievers. She sought tirelessly to support the plant world with hundreds of pampered indoor plants and spent months of effort each year selecting the perfect plants from local nurseries to create and maintain a park-like oasis in her backyard. Denied the opportunity earlier in life to pursue forestry as a career, she decided to spend the largest amount of her brief retirement volunteering for various tree nurseries and forest restoration projects. She even became a certified sawyer, operating her own chainsaw at 75 years old. As a sawyer, she assisted with numerous fire restoration projects, controlled burns, and trail maintenance in natural areas. Diane jumped into retirement with the same gusto she exhibited during her working career, with her family believing she was even busier in retirement than she was while fully employed. She volunteered generously, and shared her time, amazing energy, and positive attitude with many organizations, including the Food Bank for Larimer County, Neighbor to Neighbor, The Gardens on Spring Creek, The Poudre River Friends of the Library, The Colorado State Forest Service Nursery, and NOCO Sawyers, partnering with many organizations including Wildlands Restoration Volunteers and Colorado Addicted Trailbuilders Society.
Diane is survived by her chainsaws (unnamed), golden retriever (Jack), siblings (Colleen Carr, Regis Dixon, Jane Dixon Miller, Mark Dixon, Julie Cormack, and Rita Basista), children (Kristine Callahan, Lauren Burton, and Timothy Burton), grandchildren (Abbie Callahan and Evan Callahan), grand dogs (Sadie, Willow, Frankie and Remy), and husband (W. Scott Burton). She is predeceased by her parents Lillian and John B. Dixon Jr, as well as her brother Jake Dixon. In addition she leaves behind 178 well-loved houseplants (really, and this is after giving many away in recent months to most anyone who visited her), some of which have been with her since she lived in Pittsburgh, a minimum of two large bookshelves per room, and an accumulation of “treasures” found at the Arc Thrift Store on half priced Saturdays. Tragically, her tuna casserole recipe is lost to time, but those interested would be advised that it included canned cream of mushroom and did not contain vegetables. She also leaves behind the following advice - passed down from her mother: if your underpants start falling down in public, just let ‘em drop and keep on walking.
Per her wishes, a commemoration of her life will be held in the spring or summer of 2024 when weather permits an outdoor celebration and activities in nature which were so important to her during life. In lieu of flowers, please donate to any one of the groups she volunteered with, or that supports natural areas or the outdoors. Or please plant a tree in her memory and think of her when you hike.
Please share thoughts, memories, and stories on Diane’s tribute page. Hearing about how Diane touched so many and shone so brightly is an amazing tribute to a life well lived.

MARTY LINK SR - CLASS OF 1963
Yesterday ( Sunday, October 1 ) was a sad day in Pittsburgh, and not just referring to the Steelers loss to the Texans. For us, it is a day that will forever be remembered because we lost the Leader of our Band, our Patriarch, Martin J. Link Sr. To some of you, he was known as “The Gipper”. But to me and my siblings he was just simply Daddy, and to all of his grandchildren he was simply Pap - Pap. We have so many memories. We never had to wonder if he loved us, because if you ever talked to him, even for a second, you would know how proud he was of his family (or his creation, as he called it.)He fought through and made a comeback so many times, we started to really believe he just might be invincible. God granted his biggest wish and allowed him to fall asleep next to the love of his life and then go peacefully HOME. He is at last pain free. Please be patient with us while we all figure out how to start to live a life without him. We will post the arrangements as soon as they are finalized.Post by John Sommerer:
I don't know anyone who was prouder of being a "Mountie" more than Marty Link. Marty loved his friends, family, SMM parish, the WHAA, and Steelers, as passionately as anyone I have ever known. I'm proud to have been his friend for more than 5 decades. Marty was the most gentle of souls and never a negative person. A friend to count on and a beacon of light everywhere he went. He will be remembered with warm thoughts by all who knew him. I was always enriched when in his company. To his dear Diane, and his fine children and extended family I send my heartfelt sympathy. Rest easy old friend. Your kindness and giving spirit has landed you a place in God's heaven. A place you have earned by your goodness on earth. We have decided that my Dad's viewing will be at Slaters Funeral Home on Virgina Avenue in Mt Washington on Thursday (10/5) from 6pm to 8pm, then on Friday (10/6) from 2pm to 8pm. Mass will be on Saturday (10/7) at 10am up at Saint Mary of the Mount Church. We are still working on the rest of the details and will make sure to keep you all informed as the rest gets worked out. That is what we have got so far.

He is the son of William and Leanne Stickman; the brother of Will, Anna, and Peter Stickman; the grandson of William and Mary Anne Stickman, Class of 1974 and especially his buddies from Holy Trinity Ukrainian Catholic Church. He loved his family, his friends, and his Faith. He knew nothing but unconditional love in this world, especially from his three wonderful siblings. He was not only a gift to us, but an example. Andrew's life was an example that the sole purpose of our lives is love. And God is love. (1 John 4: 7). We, his family, rejoice that Andrew is now a saint. In lieu of flowers memorial gifts made be made to American Legion post 540, Mt.Washington- Pittsburgh PA

Carol Ann Maggio
It is with heavy heart that we share the news of the passing of our beautiful and loving Carol Ann Maggio (Baird), age 76. Carol, “Mimi,” passed away on December 28, 2022, surrounded by her loving family. She left behind her husband of 54 years, Anthony; her two daughters, Lori (Di) and Tina; her two grandchildren, Aiden and Samantha; her brother Rich (Sonya); in-laws, cousins, nieces, nephews, and countless friends and grand fur children. Carol was a lifelong resident of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, and only recently transplanted to Fredericksburg, Virginia, with her husband to be closer to their grandchildren.
Carol exuded a special kindness and thoughtfulness to every person that crossed her path. Her deepest passion was her family, and she demonstrated that with all the time, attention, love, and respect with which she showered each and every one of them. Her quiet demeanor and gracious ways provided a guiding light and outstretched hand that offered a special level of support and encouragement no matter if you were right next to her or miles away.
Carol was a true teacher of life to all who knew her. This comment, of course, would surprise her, but it was through her subtle ways of living that taught others to find value in themselves, in family, and in life. She lived life to the fullest in beauty, kindness, strength, resilience, and goodness. Her kids and grandkids called her “Wonder Woman” because of the admiration of all she accomplished, endured, and demonstrated. As Mom and Mimi, she provided a beacon of inspiration to her family, instilling confidence and independence to reach for the stars.
Carol grew up on Mt. Washington and graduated with a bachelor’s degree in education from Duquesne University, where she met “Tone,” as she lovingly called him for more than five decades. She worked in Human Resources at Macy’s in South Hills Village Mall for over 20 years.
George Sand (pseudonym for Amantine Lucile Aurore Dupin) said, “There is only one happiness in this life, to love and be loved.” With these words, our lovely Carol (Mom, Ma, Mama, Mum, Mimi) achieved the fullest life possible because she just simply, undoubtedly, and unconditionally loved—and beyond words was loved in return.

Guy H Caparelli - Class of 1974
Guy Henry Caparelli, treasured husband, father, son and brother passed away on January 15th 2023. He was 66 years old. His life was shaped by an adventurous spirit and a deep love and devotion for his family. Born on February 7th, 1956 in Pittsburgh Pennsylvania, Guy was the eldest son of Guy B. Caparelli and Carmella (Mazzella) Ferraro. Three of his four grandparents, Enrico & Agnes Caparelli and John & Mafalda Mazzella had previously immigrated to the US from Italy and settled in the neighborhood of Mt. Washington, where they would raise their children, and where Guy and Carmella would meet and start a family.
At the time, Mt. Washington was comprised of many Italian immigrant families who valued hard work and community, and he grew up with three generations of family living nearby, ready with a warm bowl of pasta, a gentle scolding, or a chore wherever he went. He was always the leader, idolized by his younger siblings, Marianne, Mark and David. But especially in the eyes of his younger sister, he could do no wrong. So when he wanted to make a robot out of her brand new “kiddie” electric stove/oven, of course she let him. Guy even convinced their mom to let him do it. Needless to say, it didn’t turn out well, but years later he made amends and bought her a vintage electric stove/oven for Christmas.
He was also involved in the Boy Scouts organization, mostly because he was allowed to play with fire, chop wood with an axe, shoot bows and arrows, sleep in a tent, and generally run wild. All the while, with his younger siblings watching and admiring every move. And it was those childhood experiences and more that instilled in Guy an adventurous spirit, an appreciation of good food and company, and an even greater appreciation for the value of family.
Guy was educated at St. Mary of the Mount Catholic High School, graduating class 1974. He played football in the JFK Football League (a Mt. Washington youth program). He remarked how his teachers, the Sisters of Immaculate Heart of Mary, “forced” the students to take a music appreciation class, where they were regularly trotted down to the theater to listen to classical music. While he may not have fully appreciated it at 16, it left a lasting impression on his heart, as he would go on to listen to a classical radio station every day on his commute back and forth from work for the next 40 years. Of course, he also enjoyed the other kind of classic music, strumming his guitar and singing along to classic rock groups like the Doobie Brothers, CCR, The Beatles, and The Beach Boys.
Upon graduation, wanting to see the world (and much to the chagrin of his parents, as the US was still embroiled in the Vietnam War at the time), he joined the Coast Guard. He enlisted in September of 1974 and served through 1978, when he was honorably discharged from active duty. He completed Telephone Technician School at the Coast Guard Training Center in Governors Island, New York on August 15th 1975 and completed Scuba Diving School at the Naval Training Center in San Diego, CA on May 21st 1976. He served most of his duty on the Coast Guard Cutter “Glacier,” an ice breaker ship, traveling back and forth between the North and South Pole, assisting governmental and scientific research projects needing safe passage through the ice.
His stories from that time involve dynamite, penguins, killer whales, close encounters with sharks, dives in glacial Artic waters, and run-ins with nosey customs officials in far-away countries around the world. He even spent time in a decompression chamber to intercept a case of the bends as a result of diving to retrieve a lost propeller. It was also at that time that he earned his Underwater Insignia, Antarctic Service Medal, Coast Guard Arctic Service Medal, Expert Pistol Marksmanship Ribbon, Sharpshooter Rifle Marksmanship Ribbon, and First Coast Guard Good Conduct Award for Honorable Service.
Eventually his military service would take him to the Coast Guard Base Terminal Island in San Pedro, CA where his fate was sealed when he caught the eye of a young galley girl on a recreational dive boat one sunny day in May 1975. He was a Coast Guard diver and he came out on the boat Karen was working on. She was smitten by his cute Pittsburgh accent and bronzed pecs, and she asked him if he wanted some of her raisins…She was 16 and he was 19. Sometime later when Guy’s father met Karen, he apparently remarked that he knew that his son wouldn’t be coming back to Pittsburgh. And so began the real adventure of his life and a love story that endured until Guy’s passing in January of this year.
Guy and Karen lived the 70’s California bohemian lifestyle as two kids in love, renting an apartment in downtown Long Beach, both waiting tables at the same local restaurant called Grandma’s Gazebo, Guy biking around town on his 10-speed and Karen driving her blue Capri. They would eventually marry on September 19th 1981 in a ceremony in the backyard of Karen’s mother, Maureen Tracey and brother Mike in Rowland Heights, CA. Karen with white and yellow daisies in her hair, and Guy in a white billowy satin shirt handmade by his bride. Their first born son, Guy, would arrive shortly after, followed by Helen, Katie then John. They first settled in Hacienda Heights, then moved to Ontario, CA after Helen was born, which is where they would make a life for themselves through the present day.
Guy was an avid photographer and got involved in the printing industry early on. He worked for Colormation until they closed their doors and then Bryan Press for the rest of his working years. He was a meticulous and detail-oriented operator, at a time when all print media was cut and designed by hand, layer by layer. He grew his career with the industry and when Photoshop software started to replace handmade work, he picked it up and ran with it. For years, he had one of the original Apple Mac computers in his office as a reminder of how far and fast technology has evolved. It was also this love for photography and access to the latest cutting-edge photo editing software that allowed him to shoot, edit and print the annual Caparelli Christmas Card, a beloved tradition that started long before the one-hour pharmacy online print sites existed.
While Guy was a diligent and hard worker, dutifully going to work to support his family day in and day out every year for his whole adult life, very few people will remember him for his professional accolades. They will remember him for what he did outside of work, and the impact and memories he curated with those he loved most. Guy was a jack of all trades – a true renaissance man – who truly could do anything, build anything, cook anything, and figure anything out.
His signature look was a wide brimmed sable fedora, a button down Hawaiian print shirt, khaki shorts, white crew socks and tennis shoes, with his trusty fanny pack around his waist, weighted down with a heavy ring of keys, an overstuffed wallet, pocketknife and who knows what else he needed to “always be prepared,” or as the Coast Guard motto says, “Semper Paratus – Always Ready.” And that really could be his life’s motto, “Always ready,” because he was the King of being prepared, whether it was a camping trip to Mt. Baldy, or a bike ride in Huntington Beach, or going skeet shooting down at Prado Olympic Shooting Park. He always had the right gear, and you would be getting a safety briefing. But all of that focus on safety came from a place of love for his family, and his children, and their friends who always tagged along. He was the responsible one, the dependable one, the one who could be counted on in any situation, everyone’s Hero.
He filled his family member's lives with precious memories: fishing for sea bass in his aluminum boat, camping trips to Pismo Beach, lobster fishing outside the breaker in Dana Point at midnight, hiking the grand canyon with his dear friend Jay, skiing in Big Bear, traveling by train to Pittsburgh in sleeper cars, insisting on doing all the maintenance on the family cars, roasting an entire pig in the sand for Helen’s Sweet 16 (in the backyard in Ontario), countless trips to Disneyland and Knott's Berry Farm, making his own limoncello, building a gazebo, making ravioli from scratch, creating an exact replica of a Japanese teppan grill in the backyard, with him serving as the chef, complete with the flaming onion volcano…the list is endless.
And everyone who knew him could make a list twice as long just of their own memories. But that was Guy. He lived to make others happy. He loved to be involved. And his love language was acts of service, whether that meant whipping up a gourmet meal on a whim, changing the brakes on a car, building his wife another plant stand, or volunteering at his church. In fact, he was a pillar at Princeton Freewill Baptist Church, where he served as a respected board member and treasurer for more than 20 years, (as well as the unofficial handyman and Mr. Fix-it whenever duty called).
He was not a man of many words, but a man of many actions. And he showed his love to everyone around him with his acts of service and his time. A time cut too short, but filled to the brim with memories that his family and friends will treasure forever. He’ll be remembered for his iconic mustache and hat, his gentle smile, his laughter, his special tomato sauce, his careful advice, his uncanny luck at Farkle, his expertise in an unbelievable amount of subjects, his love of Clive Cussler books and Indiana Jones, the mischievous glint in his eye when teasing his wife, his perfect tri-tip, his strong hands, his craftmanship of everything that he touched. And though he left too soon, he leaves in his wake his most masterful project, a well-worn life and a grateful family who loved him more than he ever could imagine.
Guy is survived by his beloved wife of 41 years, Karen Caparelli, his children Guy Caparelli, Helen (Nick) Caparelli Rodriguez, Katelyn Caparelli and John Caparelli, his mother and stepfather Carmella (Leonard) Ferraro, his siblings Marianne (Ed) Cole, Mark (Kathryn) Caparelli, David (Sielke) Caparelli and his precious nieces, nephews and cousins. Guy’s passing is felt every day by his family but most acutely in this time right before what would have been his 67th birthday.
If you knew Guy, you know he loved to gather with friends and family, so please join us in celebrating his life and legacy, and come share some of your favorite memories and stories with us.

Renee spent her youth in a Pittsburgh suburb, Mount Washington, which overlooked the beautiful city of Pittsburgh. In those days, the only problem was that there was so much smog from steel mills that they had to turn on the streetlights during the day. Otherwise, you couldn't see the city!
She grew up in a neighborhood filled with children. Her closest friend was Jill, who became Renee's first fellow-traveler in life. Fellow-travelers' friendships endure forever. For Renee, they share her same love for and service to others, a strong faith in God, and a determination to do the hard things right. As Renee would say, "it's never too late to do the right thing." Other fellow-travelers have their own fellow-travelers which then connect with each other. They work like atoms that are attracted to each other to build a powerful network.
Renee spent most of her professional career working for investment firms, first in Pittsburgh and then in Albuquerque. Renee was beloved everywhere she worked because she made the complex look easy and controlled every detail of her operation perfectly. Most importantly, she made everyone's work a joy. Shortly after moving to Albuquerque, she met three fellow-travelers, JJ, Cyd and Chris.
While Renee really enjoyed her work, there was something more important in her life, having children. Renee patiently waited for Mark to come around to her way of thinking about having kids and then, boom!, God gave her the greatest gifts, Kevin, Jordan and Megan. You can see the results of her handywork when you meet any of her children. They are beautiful in everyway. She could not have loved them more or been more proud.
As a new mom, Renee connected with more fellow-travelers, Sharon, Stacy and Aubrey. They helped Renee execute on a perfect life for the kids. A perfect life does not mean a bed of roses. Like every family there were tears, pain and disappointments otherwise known as learning experiences.
One of those learning experiences was with the family hamster, Nugget. One of the kids had gotten a toy pink motorized car for Christmas. While versions of events vary among the witnesses, someone put Nugget in the driver's seat of the car and put it in drive. As the car sped away, it crashed into a wall. The hamster passed away a few days later. There were a lot of lessons learned.
As children grow, parents' relationships are formed through their children's school and activities. During that time, Renee's circle of fellow-travelers grew. Anne, Rose, Donna, Monica, Lisa and Abi linked into Renee's orbit. When the kids hit their high school years, Renee decided to go back to work, but not back to the business world. She worked at the same grade school that the children had attended, Sunset Mesa. The school had just built a pre-school campus and Renee helped open it. Working there was the closest thing to having her own children and she loved it. While there, her circle of fellow-travelers expanded to include Molly, Mary Helen, the Michelles and Heather.
Mark and Renee built three homes in Sandia Heights, one per child. People in these great neighborhoods all welcomed us with open arms and allowed Renee to connect with new fellow-travelers Adrian, Jana, Carolyn, Sarah, and MK.
Renee's first cancer diagnosis came in May of 2021 and began her treatment soon after. During these past 20 months, Renee did her best work. The diagnosis invigorated her to make every day count. She spent more than half of her time with her children who all live in Colorado. Her younger daughter Megan graduated with her masters from the University of Denver in June and her older daughter Jordan was married in October. Son Kevin works for a robotics company that works with NASA and other aerospace companies like Blue Origin. Renee loved celebrating all the kids' milestones.
Renee did everything with courage, grace and inspiration. Even as the cancer spread, you would be hard-pressed to know she was battling cancer. Renee had started to sell a line of women's clothing, Cabi, the year before her diagnosis. She committed to continuing that work and loved her teammates and clients. She always appreciated the support her Cabi team gave. Renee connected with new fellow-travelers, Cherrie, Ondrea, Jane and Kerri.
Renee's reach was boundless. She never knew a stranger and was loved by so many. Her love was also boundless; having so much she wanted to give. God takes our loved ones home after they have completed their earthly purpose. Renee was a gift to this world, and her light will continue to shine through the people that carry on her love and legacy.

ERIC HUBER - Class of '68
Posted by John Sommerer
A fellow classmate of mine, Eric Huber, passed away. A member of SMMHS, Class of '68. Eric and I were friends for more than 65 years. Eric's love of the local Pittsburgh bands and his support of them, will certainly be missed. I will miss his mild, non-confrontational temperament. His love of his career, a Chemistry teacher at Oakland Catholic, was his passion. But, more importantly all the capers, conversations, Pitt-Penn State football games, and other things we were involved, will never be forgotten. And our days at SMMHS with our friends and classmates, in retrospect, will always leave me smiling. The whole Huber family were like family to me. Kurt and Heidi my deepest sympathy to you. Eric will be at rest with his dear parents Elmer and Marie, 2 of the kindest people I have ever known. Rest easy my friend. You were a true friend and you can never be replaced.

Sorry to report the passing of Jack Mahoney:It’s with a very heavy heart that I’m sharing the news that my dad, Jack Mahoney, passed away on Thursday, July 14, 2022 after a grueling and courageous battle with esophageal cancer. He is survived by my mom, his loving wife of 54 years, Valerie Mahoney, who he loved beyond measure. He leaves behind me, of course, but also his son-in-law, my husband, Casey. My dad loved Casey. After we were dating for just a few months he had asked me if I thought I’d ever be “Mrs. Casey” and at that point I knew that was my dad’s way of saying he thought Casey was an ok guy.He was preceded in death by his parents John Francis and Beatrice Mahoney and his sisters, Linda Romah and Arlene Bonzak. In his professional life my dad was a bus driver for the Port Authority of Allegheny County for 27(ish?) years and retired at the very young age of 52. After a year of retirement he was bored and decided to try his hand at driving a school bus, which he did for Chartiers Valley for another 12 (ish?) years. Mister Jack, as the kids called him, retired, for a second time, shortly after my son, and his very best friend, Gabriel John (named for him and my father-in-law) was born. There was no greater joy in his life than being Gabriel John’s Grandpap. As sick as my dad was, when he was able, he never failed to ask how Gabriel was or what he was up to. My mom and I always laughed how Gabriel’s was the only picture he carried in his wallet. This was not a one-sided relationship, Gabriel adored his pap just as much.On the surface my dad was a quiet and reserved man but for those lucky enough to crack that veneer, we knew him as a wickedly funny, dry, witty, and intelligent person. If any of you wonder where I got my signature death-stare and notorious RBF, you need to look no further than Jack.Like most kids, I was amazed at how much stuff my dad knew and when I asked him about it, he’d always contribute his vast knowledge of the world to his daily reading of the newspaper. He was devastated when the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette went digital several days a week, however, the self-described technophobe learned, with a lot of help from my mom, how to navigate the digital version of the newspaper. It was that important to him.He was a proud former Marine who contributed his well-known penchant for orderliness and timeliness to his time in the Corps. Semper Fi.My dad leaves a gap in our lives that will never be filled. He will be missed, always. If you were lucky enough to know him and be loved by him, you were lucky enough.Rest In Peace, dad. I love you.
